Gallery Functions

You can perform several functions at the gallery level such as changing the gallery order, deleting a gallery and adding photographs and images.

Note: Even at the Gallery stage you can add a new Gallery to the photo album.

Once you have one or more galleries in an album you can change the position of the galleries inside the album. You can either move a gallery down or up in a photo album.

To move a gallery down in an album

1. Select the gallery in the Left pane that you want you move down. In the example the Gallery1 gallery is selected.

2. From the Edit menu select Move Down (Speedkey - Ctrl+D).

Click the Move this item down button on the Toolbar.

-or-

From the Shortcut menu select Move Down.

3. The selected gallery is moved one step down in the list of galleries.

4. Repeat the step if necessary to move it further down the order.

To move a gallery up in an album

1. Select a gallery in the Left pane that you want to move up. In the example the Gallery1 gallery is selected.

2. From the Edit menu select Move Up (Speedkey - Ctrl+U).

Click the Move this item up button on the Toolbar.

-or-

From the Shortcut menu select Move Up.

3. The selected gallery is moved one step up in the list of galleries.

4. Repeat the step if necessary to move it further up in the order.

You can add photographs and images to a gallery.

To add a photograph or an image to a gallery

1. Ensure you select the gallery in the Left pane.

2. From the Edit menu select Add and then select Photo (Speedkey - Ins)

-or-

Click the Add new Photo to album button on the Toolbar.

-or-

From the Shortcut menu select Add and then select Photo.

3. The Windows Open dialog opens from where you can search and select images or photographs on your computer.

4. Repeat the steps to add more images and photographs.

Time and again you might find the need to delete galleries.

To delete a gallery

1. Select the gallery you wish to delete in the Left pane.

2. From the Edit menu select Delete (Speedkey - Del)

Click the Delete this item button on the Toolbar.

-or-

From the Shortcut menu select Delete.

3. If the gallery does not have any photographs or images it is deleted. If it has photographs the following information dialog is displayed.

3. Click Yes to delete the gallery and all its images.

If you have a folder containing photographs you can import those photographs into your gallery.

To import photographs

1. Select the gallery in the Left pane into which you wish to add the photographs.

2. From the Edit menu select Import (Speedkey - Shift+Ins)

Click the Import photos from directory button on the Toolbar.

-or-

From the Shortcut menu select Import.

3. The windows Browse for Folder dialog opens.

4. Browse, search and locate the folder on your computer whose images you wish to add to your selected gallery.

5. Gallery builder checks the folder for images and reports the number of images the folder has.

6. Click Yes to import.

7. Gallery builder imports the images and when done reports the same.

8. The images are found under then selected gallery.

Note: At any stage you can expand or collapse the contents of the galleries in an album by using the Expand all galleries button on the Toolbar (Speedkey - Ctrl+E) and the Collapse all galleries button (Speedkey - Ctrl+C). You can also use the Expand all galleries and Collapse all galleries functions from the View menu.
